課程概述 |
Fundamentals of English Writing serves as an introductory course to academic English writing. In this course, we will cover a wide range of basic English writing skills that are essential to building up your confidence as a writer. Special attention will be focused on how to apply the topics covered in class to the students’ own writing. Students will have ample opportunities to practice writing and discuss their writing assignments with their peers, the TA, and the teacher. |

課程目標 |
The goal of this course is to familiarize students with the fundamentals of English writing, inclusive of, but not limited to, academic vocabulary, the basic grammar of English, paragraph structure, and essay organization. |

課程要求 |
This course is not intended to be demanding in any way. However, it is recommended that students set aside regular study time for this course.
Students are required to finish the assigned reading and hand in their study notes two days before the class meets. Quizzes and assignments are on a weekly basis and count toward the final score. Most importantly, students are expected to actively participate in classroom activities and discussions.
